At each meeting, members may have images evaluated by a judge who is a professional photographer.  Image reviews are done either as part of the Print Competition or through the Digital Composition Challenge.

On Print Competition nights, in addition to image review, members may compete for ribbons.

About the Print Competition

Starting June 2016 the members may submit digital images only. To read more, please click here.

On Print Competition night, members must bring matted or mounted prints for judging
in two categories - a pre-announce category (Assigned) or in a general one (Open).  The prints are displayed and reviewed by the judge with 1st, 2nd & 3rd places awarded in each category.

In addition, members entering the print competition may also submit digital versions of their images.  These are projected, anonymously,  and evaluated by the judge.  If the judge deems the image of high caliber, the image may be assigned a "Merit" and the maker is acknowledged.

Instructions for submitting images can be found in the Print Competition Rules PDF below.  Images should be emailed to PhotoEntries@topcc.org

  About the Digital Composition Challenge

The Digital Composition Challenge (DCC) was established to encourage members to expand and grow technically and creatively as photographers.  Each month before a DCC, the Challenge itself is described to the membership.

On DCC nights, there is no competition and only digital images are considered.  Images are projected, anonymously, and scored by the judge.  If the score is 8 or 9, the image is assigned a "Merit" and the maker is acknowledged.

Instructions for submitting images can be found in the Digital Compostioin Challenge Rules PDF below.  Images should be emailed to PhotoEntries@topcc.org
