Details: Prior to Covid over 10 million people a year attended air shows. They are finally coming back to Southern California, leading off with our local Wings Over Camarillo this August 21st and 22nd.
As a prelude to this photo opportunity Hutch Hutchison will do a special Airshow Presentation for TOPG on August 5th. His service with a Navy Squadron on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier during the Viet Nam conflict melded a life-long love of photography with aviation and airshows. He has been attending the Camarillo show for years and began photographing it regularly in 2001. In 2018 he wrote an air show article for the Photographic Society of America (PSA) Journal that went on to win that periodical’s Best Feature Story of the year. His program will include tips on preparation and equipment, along with technical suggestions and examples.
