Details: The Salton Sea is more than a photo destination and environmental disaster. It is an exotic place to be explored, like the Nile, but without crocodiles. The Salton Sea is also a 20th Century ghost town of sorts that's rapidly disappearing. In a few years it will shrink to a much smaller area and Lithium mining will become an industry there.
